What you need: Dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup), 1 tbsp shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil), fruits - kiwi, mandarin oranges, grapes, cherries.
How to make: melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave (melt in 30-second intervals to avoid burning). Allow mixture to cool slightly. Dip fruits about 2/3 into the chocolate, shake off excess. Place on waxed paper-lined tray. Refrigerate uncovered until chocolate is firm (about 30 minutes).
