Lots of food ingredients
Kids are given a bunch of ingredients and have to make a dish. The dishes will be judged based on plating (appearance), taste, and story creativity (kids should be asked to create a fun story that explains their dish). If the kids are a bit older and know how to make the classic mac and cheese, you can give them a mystery ingredient (any sauce, vegetable, protein...) and get them to add it to the dish and see what they can create!
Pro Tip: This activity works really well with KD OR hummus!
Also, if you're just not feeling like cooking tonights meal, this could be a great alternative to get the kids cooking!
This activity is brought to you by Camp Northland, an overnight camp based in Haliburton, Ontario with a 100+ year tradition of creating memorable summer experiences for children and teenagers from Southern Ontario.
