Create your own bookmark

  • Paint chip samples
  • yarn
  • markers (optional)
  • stickers
  • coloured paper
  • hotel punch
  • glue

Reading is important at every age, so finding ways to make reading fun for kids is a must. One way, is to have your child create their own very own personal bookmark as an incentive.

Steps:

  1. Using your favourite punches, make designs from one paint chip sample (note: use coloured construction paper as a replacement)
  2. Glue onto a contrasting paint chip while matching up the white lines.
  3. Punch hole in top of paint chip strip and insert three or four colourful strands of yarn and make a slip knot to hold. It’s that easy.

If you don’t have decorative punches, have the kids draw their own designs with markers.
